Smooth Skin, Blood red flesh. It’s what you think of when you think of a beet. Sow conservatively, in rows 30 cm apart 1.5 cms deep in well-worked, well-drained soil. Thin to 7.5 cm apart after danger of frost has passed. Harvest greens when 4-6 inches long. Eat like spinach. Untreated.
